Repeat Prescriptions

multicolour_pillsRepeat prescriptions will be written at doctors' discretion and are normally for patients on long term treatment. To order one, please mark or write the items needed on a repeat prescription form and drop it at the surgery. Please allow 2 working days for the above.

A postal service is also available for repeat prescriptions if a stamped self-addressed envelope is provided. In this case please allow a week from sending.

Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page after completing a simple registration.

Please note requests for repeat prescriptions will not be taken over the telephone.

The practice supports the NHS recommended 28 day prescribing standards.

We operate a dispensing service from our Cross Street Surgery. Experienced staff are fully trained and the surgery complies with NHS guidelines in dispensing practice.

Batch Prescribing

If you are on regular medication and use the same chemist, you can apply for "batch prescribing" which means you don't have to visit the surgery each time you need your medication.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you contact reception to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
